looking for someone new – 22 (toronto) [Craiglist Post /*Piece*]
Hi. I’m 22,
turning 23 soon.
Just looking for someone new to talk to.
I’m new to this,
not used to it,
posting ads on Craigslist.
Clubs and bars aren’t doing too much so I guess I can try this
We can chat through emails to see if compatibility exists,
hope in actuality that the virtual and reality is equally equipped,
showcase your personality with quotes and quips.
Can I get lost in the the words you use,
The words you choose to type with?
If things go well,
who knows what fate will tell,
what destiny will sell to our selves?
Email-to-phone calls-to-first date, with no pressure for it to excel
About me,
I’m tall, dark and I’ve been told that I’m a handsome chocolate.
I used to be insecure about my skin tone but now Im proud of it.
Dropped out of York, next semester I’ll be at Seneca College.
I work full-time, yea the 9-5 kinda make me sick but its something to build with,
got dreams that I’m trying to live in.
On the weekends,
I spit poetry, wrote hip-hop rhymes and memorize independent movie lines,
Those are my hobbies.
Dont have a car but the TTC subway line is treating me just fine.
Got a 3 year old son,
stays with his mother but I go to see him all time.
No baby mama drama but if think thats baggage
Then don’t your let mouse click over the section that states “reply.”
Don’t live on my own,
got a roommate, hardly is he ever home.
Loneliness wont leave me alone,
so I’m looking for company to call my own
Sorry that I wrote a paragraph,
couldn’t decide on a epigraph that I would
perfectly describe my present and my past.
… but I’m new to this,
not used to it,
posting ads on Craigslist
Club and bars weren’t doing much so thought I would tried this.
And you,
Crazy.Sexy.Cool.
anywhere from 19-32
Dont have race issues
but I gotta say Caribbean and African women make me wanna drool
Please be funny because I like to laugh too
Your sexiness is determined by you.
Hope you are modest, compassionate and intelligent
Not looking for perfection because I already know that it don’t exist.
So many things that we can do
Its all on you.
Stroll through the aisles of the BMV
What do you like to read?
Rollerskate on the boardwalks of Woodbine Beach
Head to Broadview & Queen dine at The Real Jerk to eat
Contemplate if the jerk chicken in Eglinton West could be the best
We can lose our breath,
at a game to watch the Raptors, The Blue Jays or the Maple leafs play
From East-End Scarborough, to West-End Etobicoke, where ever you want to go.
or we can just chill here or there,
on the lawn chairs conversing at Dundas Square
but Im new to this
not used to it.
posting ads on Craiglist.
Club and bars wasn’t doing shit
Not looking for love but who know what I can get
An online-relationship might be worth the trying.
Just send me a message with a funky subject line
I’ll get back to you as soon as I have time
